National USA Rentals Cars
National Car Rental - for over 50 years National has provided high-quality rental cars worldwide. National is best known for being a top choice for business travelers. The "Choice Line" allows you the freedom to choice your vehicle from a lineup of vehicles in your category at the pickup location. National's fleet ranges from compact to full-size cars, and convertibles to SUVs, it will have something for everyone's needs whether they are for business or leisure travel!
Supplemental Liability Insurance
The government required liability insurance included by the rental car companies in the United States is considered insufficient by independent experts. The coverage required by law ranges from US-$ 0 (basically no insurance coverage) to a maximum of US-$ 60,000. We strongly recommend adding a supplemental liability insurance package; otherwise you will personally be held responsible for any damages. In all "PLUS" packages a Supplemental Liability Insurance with US-$ 1 million in coverage is included directly from National (coverage amounts reflect current coverage, subject to change). Coverage directly by National means that in case of an accident the claim will be handled directly through National with no upfront cost to you!
Save Money on One-Way Fe's
With American rental car companies there is usually an extra charge for one-way rentals (a One-Way Fee). A one-way rental is any rental which is picked up at location A and returned at location B. To determine the fee for a one-way rental most companies use the distance between location A and location B to apply a fee based on that distance. National has developed a simple system of a flat fee of US-$ 399 regardless of the distance between the two locations. This flat rate even applies for rentals that go Coast-to-Coast. National also offers some one-way rentals for free... for more information on this please consult the Rental Terms and Conditions tab.
Toll Pass Service
At rental locations in Florida, Colorado, and Houston, National offers a so called "Toll Pass Service". You will be enrolled in a toll pass service which will allow you to "drive through" toll stations and the respective toll will be charged a credit card of your choice (toll charged in addition to the above mentioned fee). With this service you never have to worry about having the correct cash in hand when coming to a toll plaza.
Notice: If you want to travel along the Florida Turnpike from Miami to Key West, you will need to purchase a SunPass; this 47 mile stretch does not accept cash or credit cards anymore for toll charges. In case you do not have a SunPass, you can simply take U.S. 1 south from Miami Beach to Key West, or, if you are traveling from Orlando, you can take the Florida Turnpike to the Miami-Dade County line and then turn onto I-95 south, which will then turn into U.S. 1 later on.
